PLEASE NOTE WEF JULY 2015, JPS WILL BE HOLDING ONLY ONE MEETING PER MONTH ON THE THIRD TUESDAY – THIS WILL BE EFFECTIVE UNTIL FURTHER NOTED
JPS has two meetings monthly (except during the festive season) held on the first and third Tuesday of every month. Meetings start at 19:30 and usually end at about 22:00.
The first meeting of the month (1st Tuesday) is a “Judging Meeting” where projected images are judged and scored, normally by a panel of three judges, often which includes an external judge. A monthly “Set Subject” is also judged. These scores are accumulated for each member to determine advancement within the club through the categories of Entry, Intermediate, Advanced and Beret. Additionally, the previous month’s digital images are categorized into “Nature” and “Pictorial” and are judged to determine an overall winner of the “Image of the Month”.
The second meeting of the month (3rd Tuesday) is a “Evaluation Meeting” where prints and projected digital images are discussed amongst members of the club. No scoring takes place at these meetings.
JPS meets at
Altas Head office 123 Oxford Road, Cnr Cotswold Drive (Entrance in Cotswold Drive) Saxonwold.
